Mark R. Sherrod, M.D., F.A.C.S., specializes in various types of surgery, including dieseases and surgery of the breast, laparoscopic surgery, abdominal and intestinal surgery. Dr. Sherrod is a board-certified general surgeon and performs both Lap-Band and gastric bypass for treatment of morbid obesity.
After receiving his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Dr. Sherrod completed his surgical residency at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas. He has been practicing surgery in Austin for over 25 years. In addition to being an active member in many professional organizations, Dr. Sherrod is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
