Board certified surgeon with interest in advanced laparoscopic procedures. Dr. Longoria performs gastric bypass and Lap-Band procedures at Austin Bariatric Surgeons in Austin, Texas. He is also interested in the laparoscopic surgical treatment of colon cancer, reflux disease, and solid organ cancers.
Dr. Longoria earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He then completed a general surgery residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and later served a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic surgery at the University of California-Irvine. Dr. Longoria is an active member of various surgical and medical organizations, and is an associate fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
